2 - Responsibilities

 

- CEO : Report on the objectives, management and achievements of the company. Make decisions about business strategy. Carry out leadership functions, such as: motivating and advising the employees in charge. Make organizational decisions for a certain time of the company.

- Flight Operations: Flight operations managers are the ground commanders of the aircraft. They are responsible for the supervision and control of everything necessary for a flight to depart in optimal safety conditions, efficiently and quickly. Its mission is to prepare all the necessary documentation for the flight, among which we can highlight:

  • Compilation of NOTAM (Notice to Airmen).

  • Collection of overflight permits.

  • Checking the device's maintenance report before the flight.

  • Review of the forecast and meteorological maps of the route and departure and destination airports.

  • Collection of the load sheet.

- Instructor : The flight instructor is responsible for emphasizing: the performance of an effective visual scan, collision avoidance procedures, the procedures recommended by the manufacturer of the aircraft used, and other areas deemed appropriate for practical tests.

​

- Hub Chiefs : You must supervise the aircraft that have their documentation and maintenance up to date. Check that the aircraft do not stay more than 1 day outside the Hub. Check that the aircraft comply with their monthly cycle of hours together with the routes assigned to each one. Serving new pilots who are interested in belonging to the Airline.

- Dispatch : Flight dispatchers must ensure that all flights are ready for take-off as quickly and safely as possible.

There are many variables that must be reviewed by the dispatcher before an airplane can take off. Here are some examples:

  • Weather conditions

  • Fueling

  • Catering loaded on the plane

  • Luggage loaded on the plane

  • Preparation of flight routes and landing approach areas

  • Schedule of monthly flights to the Crew
